In this facilitated online course, we explored the tools and features used to monitor and evaluate student performance; learned about the advanced collaboration tools available; and discovered new strategies for effectively designing, organizing, and presenting content to increase student success. The course was divided into three main areas: Monitoring Student Performance, Building Online Communities, and Designing Engaging Content.

Description
Quality Matters began as a small, grassroots effort at Maryland Online to identify ways to measure and guarantee the quality of online courses. Today, the QM rubric has become a gold standard used by instructional designers and faculty developers to assist in the development and delivery of high quality online and blended course offerings. I am a member of Quality Matters as well as the QM Instructional Designers Association special interest group.
